I saw this double rainbow on my way to the studio today (sorry crappy iphone pic). Its over Totterdown in Bristol. I guess I’ve seen them before but I dont remember. So beautiful. I was thinking about the people caught up in the floods up north today as I was riding along, worrying incase my friend Polly was there. Then out of the darked sky popped the rainbows. Sentimental I know, its just been one of those days. I guess when you’re feeling down you have to put things in perspective and realise there are people out there in all sorts of trauma. My thoughts go out to my friend Nicola today aswell.
The double rainbow reminded my of ‘The Blind Girl’ painting by John Everett Millais (PRB). Such a good piece. You can see in the painting and the photos that dark band between the rainbows which is apparently called Alexander’s band. Note that for trivia pursuit revenge!
