Raymond Pettibon has definitely been a huge influence on me, well before I realised it. My favourite logo of all time is Black Flags (Raymonds’ brother was BF founder Greg Ginn) for whom he also did posters and t-shirt. Not to mention the awesome Sonic Youth t-shirt illustrations, you probably know the one (I’ve got at least 2 prints of his up in my bathroom to gaze at while I wee). So good. This month he’s back in the spotlight having scored the cover of Juxtapoz aswell as a joint show with Barry McGee and Ed Templeton. Its curated by Aaron Rose of Beautiful Losers fame. What a show. Its at the circleculture gallery in Berli. 9th April-30th May 09.
