Its making me feel nostalgic. That time (circa 2001-03) was certainly a time of reinvention in many ways. Bands like Rival Schools, Seafood, Million Dead (Frank Turners old band) and Thursday’s album “Full collapse” define that time for me. Back then I was living and breathing BMX, watching videos (VHS) pretty much every night with a pack of Beers and Johann Chan for company, riding lots, partying plenty and having a good time. Props and other BMX videos of the time like Nowhere Fast and Ride US’s ‘Turbulence’ were pretty much my main source of new music awareness. Talking of which, Thursday are due a new album out next month called “No Devolución” so really looking forward to what they bring.

I usually find them annoying more than anything but the one for ‘Guilty’ by Gucci is awesome. For a start I’m a huge Depeche Mode fan and Friendly Fires cover of their ‘Strangelove’ is pretty good. I wasn’t surprised either to find that the stunning visuals were directed by the legend that is Frank Miller. Evan Rachel Wood ain’t bad either ;) . Definitely my favourite ad of the year.
